the sadness of it

last week i went with giulia to see the film deposit. or should i say the former film deposit? well it's still a film deposit. there is film deposited there. anyway. it was so easy to sort out my feelings/emotions/blah about it that i was almost.... ok, time to end with this blogging, who cares, anyway?
it's sad to see things wasted.
it's very sad to see things that could have been beautiful, useful, entertaining, enlightening etc. wasted.
but you know what it's super-super sad? to have sadness and have people deviate it into an artsy thing. like, look how aesthetically pleasing this bunch of waste is. like oh, someone you loved died, but you look good in black. like, oh, there's a positive in every damn situation.
i mean, no, i take it back. it's not super-sad. it's super annoying on top of the sadness, which makes me rant sometimes, and stops me from ranting or speaking or thinking about stuff some other time. but okay, we're here.
and i'm saying it as someone who doesn't particularly care about films. i am not completely indifferent to films, duh, but i have people i love who do care about films much more than i do or could, so i guess i've accepted that's their territory.
well, you know. something sad and wasteful is here that potentially affects people i love.
but also: i hate waste. i hate waste more than i love films. i hate uselessness and meaninglessness as things that i have to confront every day of my life and they are frightening enough when they couldn't have been avoided.
gah.

ok, so i don't know what happened. films were kept here, and then the location was just abandoned. films included.

children in the neighbourhood probably explored the area...who knows who did or didn't, and for how long. there must have been homeless people squatting there at some point

and you know, word spread that there's this really cool spot that is THE place to see in cluj. really, what other city has something comparable?

so here we come. we had to see it.
this is inside the first/front building

a truer graffitti has never been stamped on those walls

fun in the enchanted forest...between the front and back deposits.

can you see inside - there are small rooms piled up high with film. you can jump on it.

so cute, but so wrong
oh-kay. this is inside the back building. observation by giulia: you know, somebody must have brought that armchair here for photos. so it would look cooler.
i mean i'm not saying it doesn't look very cool.
giulia started her mission.
while i'm still trying to take pictures that would capture the horror accurately enough, which makes me as bad as what i'm ranting about and which makes this rant about me, i guess.
because, look.
look

look

more? you want more?
