like those red insects

do you know the insects i mean? i don't even know the name in romanian, nevermind in english...the ugly red-and-black ones, not ladybirds, those are cute...the insects that show up in gardens and similar spaces and crowd up on any plant or object basically, as soon as there's the slightest hint of sunny weather.
that's exactly what people have been doing these days in cluj.
man, it certainly looks like no one is working or anything.

@casa matei: souvenir party and beer gardens

ha! there's a free table!!
it's not spring until the flower ladies...
book corner, literally
oh i see

and this is all a bit later...another shiny day...we've got magnolias! we've got a short films festival this weekend (and a very-short-shorts festival next week! who can keep track anymore?)
we've got a book fair, which i visited super-briefly, but felt it was my duty to take a picture of the pavilion: voila!

of course, around midnight, after getting out of the cinema, giulia felt it was her duty to steal as many posters from the pavilion doors as possible. with me as her sidekick.
guard: "miss, you were taking those posters!"
giulia:  "yes!?"
guard: "please put them back now!"
giulia:  "ok!"
then we left.
oh, the good days of poster-stealing - sorry, taking - at night. they are back.

by the university building, the night shift sweepers were resting on the memorandist statue. a group of young people were scratching their names on the bricks. there was a light in the attic of a house across the street.

and the smell in the air.
"friend, be mindful of the story that your life is telling!"

next morning, bright and shiny: what the hell is this graffiti? the first time i saw it (the previous night) i thought it was a clock with jumbled time. in the morning it seemed obvious that it was a sun...right? or a coin? "time is money"? what?!

and this is a saroyan short story posted on the windows of a former flower shop. it's been here for a while , i think...i remember seeing it in the fall, then it either disappeared til now , or...it's one of the things that are only visible to me in the sunlight.
still my heartbeat goes like this - for some strange reason:
